Pastor Eric's Words of Redemption

Bible verse:
Matthew 24:19–22 (NIV) -- 19 How dreadful it will be in those days for pregnant women and nursing mothers! 20 Pray that your flight will not take place in winter or on the Sabbath. 21 For then there will be great distress, unequaled from the beginning of the world until now—and never to be equaled again. 22 “If those days had not been cut short, no one would survive, but for the sake of the elect those days will be shortened.

My take for today:
God is faithful.

My prayer:
Father, I thank you for your promises of strength and preservation to your redeemed, even as distress, temptations, and deceptions increase in this world of darkness and craftiness. Thank you, O'Lord, for your faithfulness in Christ, Amen.

Lamentations 3:22–24 (NIV) -- 22 Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. 23 They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness. 24 I say to myself, “The Lord is my portion; therefore I will wait for him.”
