Pastor Eric's Words of Redemption

Bible verse:
James‬ ‭1:2-4‬ ‭KJV‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬
2 My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations;
3 Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience.
4 But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.

My take for today:
God is with us amidst our sufferings.

My prayer:
Thank You, Father, for the power of endurance that works in us nightly as we keep our minds on You. Father, help us not to run away from suffering, but to know that You are us in the midst of our suffering. Hallelujah, in Jesus Christ, Amen.

Pure Joy

Bible verse:
Hebrews‬ ‭12:2‬ ‭KJV‬‬‬‬‬‬‬
Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.

My take for today:
God is the true Judge.

My prayer:
Thank You,  Lord, that the World or Devil has no power to judge or condemn us, but only You can. Because of this truth, Lord, help us to fight the good fight of faith with our minds set on eternal reward in Jesus Christ, Amen.

Bible verse:
‭‭1 John‬ ‭1:8-9‬ ‭KJV‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬
If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

My take for today:
God is faithful to His promises.

My prayer:
Thank You, Father, for the power of confession of sins, which leads to the salvation of our spirit, soul, and body from the accusation and condemnation by the enemy.
Thank You for keeping Your promises of those who are in Jesus Christ, Amen.

Bible verse:
If we are faithless, He remains faithful, for He cannot deny Himself.
The Lord’s acts of mercy indeed do not end, For His compassions do not fail. They are new every morning; Great is Your faithfulness. The Lord is my portion, says my soul, Therefore I wait for Him.

My take for today:
God is faithful.

My prayer:
Great is Your faithfulness! Great is Your faithfulness! Lord, I thank You for Your faithfulness towards me, in the morning, at noonday, and at night, in Jesus Christ, Amen.

Bible verse:
4 (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;)
5 Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;
6 And having in a readiness to revenge all disobedience, when your obedience is fulfilled.

My take for today:
Teach my every thought to obey Christ.

My prayer:
Thank You, oh Lord, for the mastery of the spirit, soul, and body made possible by the power of the Holy Spirit, bringing every thought and imagination to the obedience of Christ to prove what is God’s perfect plan for our life, in Christ Jesus our Lord, Amen.

And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose.

My take for today:
Everything is working for my good!

My prayer:
Father, let me thank You, this moment, for the good and the bad: the good people that add to my spiritual life; and those who have despised me and even abandoned me, to prove You as the true and living God in Christ Jesus, Amen.

My take for today:
Give thanks, be thankful in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you.

My prayer:
Thank You so greatly, Father God, for the power of the wisdom of reflection to look back and say thank You, Lord! Thank You for all I went through to be the person I am today. Thank You for the bad and the good that makes me appreciate Salvation in Jesus Christ, Amen.

Bible verse:
Ephesians ‭6:18-20‬ ‭KJV‬‬‬‬
18 Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;
19 And for me, that utterance may be given unto me, that I may open my mouth boldly, to make known the mystery of the gospel,
20 For which I am an ambassador in bonds: that therein I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak.

My take for today:
Pray for an utterance to preach the gospel.

My prayer:
Lord, I pray that You give to Your servant Spirit-let utterance, as I stand to make known the mystery of the birth, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ; for the redemption of the spirit, soul, and body of believers. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Praying Always!

Bible verse:
And I, brethren, when I came to you, came not with excellency of speech or of wisdom, declaring unto you the testimony of God. For I determined not to know any thing among you, save Jesus Christ, and Him crucified.

My take for today:
Be determined to preach nothing save Jesus Christ.

My prayer:
As I proclaim the cause for Christ, Lord, grant to your servant the power of redemption: to preach nothing but Jesus Christ crucified for our sin, the forgiveness of sin, and the gift of eternal life, in Christ, Amen.

Bible verse:
5 Then said I, Woe is me! for I am undone; because I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips: for mine eyes have seen the King, the Lord of hosts.
6 Then flew one of the seraphim unto me, having a live coal in his hand, which he had taken with the tongs from off the altar:
7 And he laid it upon my mouth, and said, Lo, this hath touched thy lips; and thine iniquity is taken away, and thy sin purged.

My take for today:
Holy, Holy, Holy is GOD!

My prayer:
In my struggles to pray, preach, and help others, Lord, I see myself as Isaiah. As I look to You on Your throne with Your robe filling the temple: have mercy upon me, O' Lord, for I am an unclean man, living with people of unclean lips. Father, touch my tongue with coals of fire, cleanse me this morning, and lead me on the path where You desire me to serve.

Bible verse:
If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.

My take for today:
Lord, help me to trust and obey You.

My prayer:
Father, I thank you that your delight is answering our prayers when we trust and obey you. Lord, thanks for reminding me of this song:
"TRUST and OBEY"
When we walk with the Lord in the light of his Word
What a glory he sheds on our way!
While we do his good will, he abides with us still,
And with all who will trust and obey.

Trust and obey, for there's no other way
To be happy in Jesus, but to trust and obey.

Not a shadow can rise, not a cloud in the skies,
But his smile quickly drives it away;
Not a doubt or a fear, not a sigh nor a tear,
Can abide while we trust and obey.

Not a burden we bear, not a sorrow we share,
But our toil he doth richly repay;
Not a grief nor a loss, not a frown or a cross,
But is blest if we trust and obey.

But we never can prove the delights of his love
Until all on the altar we lay;
For the favor he shows, and the joy he bestows,
Are for them who will trust and obey.

Then in fellowship sweet we will sit at his feet,
Or we will walk by his side in the way;
What he says we will do, where he sends we will go,
Never fear, only trust and obey.

May You help us to meditate on these verses; in the name of our Lord, Jesus Christ, Amen!

Bible verse:
Psalm‬ ‭8:1-2‬KJV‬‬ ‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬
1 O Lord, our Lord, how excellent is Your name in all the earth, who have set Your glory above the heavens!
2 Out of the mouth of babes and nursing infants You have ordained strength, because of Your enemies, that You may silence the enemy and the avenger.

My take for today:
The ways of God are excellent in manifestation.

My prayer:
Oh, Lord, how excellent is Your name in every situation.
Lord, I am thankful that You are the source of strength when I can go on, hope when I feel like all is lost, and a way-maker where there is no way, the truth where there is no truth and life.
Because of Your excellency in creation and empowerment, Oh Lord, give me the grace to trust and serve You the more; in Jesus Christ, Amen.

Bible verse:
14 Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.
15 Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house.
16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.

My take for today:
You are a light in this world of darkness and shamelessness.

My prayer:
I am light and a city on a hill.
Lord, I am what You declare me to be in this world of darkness and shamelessness heading for the kingdom of darkness.
Father, help me by Your grace to live up to this "spectacle of excellence" and shine brightly for Your glory; in Jesus' name, Amen.

Matthew 5:16

Here’s another way to put it: You’re here to be light, bringing out the God-colors in the world. God is not a secret to be kept. We’re going public with this, as public as a city on a hill. If I make you light-bearers, you don’t think I’m going to hide you under a bucket, do you? I’m putting you on a light stand. Now that I’ve put you there on a hilltop, on a light stand—shine! Keep open house; be generous with your lives. By opening up to others, you’ll prompt people to open up with God, their generous Father in heaven.

My take for today:
God formed us with a purpose in mind.
  • I AM knew all about you before you saw the light of day
  • I AM had holy plans for you
  • I AM set you apart

My prayer:
Father, I thank You this morning for opening up my understanding to know what my inheritance in Christ is and what is the incomparable power You have given to me to carry out a designated, divine order tailored by You for me; in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates?
Check up on yourselves. Are you really Christians? Do you pass the test? Do you feel Christ’s presence and power more and more within you? Or are you just pretending to be Christians when actually you aren’t at all?

My take for today:
I have to examine myself, whether I am in Christ.

My prayer:
Father, I want to take a step back, this moment, to assess my claim in Jesus Christ under the guidance of the Holy Spirit. With the raw truth of assessment, help me run with effectiveness the race that you designed for me; in Jesus Christ, Amen.

Bible verse:
Psalm‬ ‭92:1-2‬ ‭KJV‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬
It is a good thing to give thanks unto the Lord, and to sing praises unto thy name, O Most High: To shew forth thy lovingkindness in the morning, and thy faithfulness every night.

My take for today:
Thank the Lord with an outstretched arm.

My prayer
Lord, I lift my voice this morning and say thank you for blessing me to see another day clothed in my right mind, spirit, soul, and body.
Lord, Lord, let me use Don Moen lyrics to say thank you:

"Thank You Lord"
The Bible says it's a good thing to give thanks to the Lord, Amen

I come before You today
And there's just one thing that I want to say
Thank You Lord, Thank You Lord
For all You've given to me
For all the blessings that I can not see
Thank You Lord, Thank You Lord

With a grateful heart, With a song of praise
With an outstretched arm, I will bless Your name
Thank You Lord, I just wanna thank You Lord
Thank You Lord, I just wanna thank You Lord
Thank You Lord

For all You've done in my life
You took my darkness and gave me your light
Thank You Lord, Thank You Lord
You took my sin and my shame
You took my sickness and healed all my pain
Thank You Lord, Thank You Lord

With a grateful heart, With a song of praise, With an outstretched arm, I will bless Your name. Yes we thank You, oh we thank You; in Jesus' name I pray, Amen.

Bible verse:
[For I always pray to] the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, that He may grant you a spirit of wisdom and revelation [of insight into mysteries and secrets] in the [deep and intimate] knowledge of Him, by having the eyes of your heart flooded with light, so that you can know and understand the hope to which He has called you, and how rich is His glorious inheritance in the saints (His set-apart ones), and [so that you can know and understand] what is the immeasurable and unlimited and surpassing greatness of His power in and for us who believe, as demonstrated in the working of His mighty strength.

My take for today:
God has a plan designed for me (and each one of us).

My prayer:
Father, I thank You this morning for opening up my understanding to know what my inheritance in Christ is; and what is the incomparable power You have given to me to carry out Your designated, divinely ordered and tailored plan just for me; in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

Bible verse:
  • Give thanks to the LORD, for He is good; His love endures forever.
  • Let them give thanks to the LORD for His unfailing love and His wonderful deeds for mankind,
  • For He satisfies the thirsty and fills the hungry with good things.

My take for today:
Be thankful to God.

My prayer:
With a grateful heart and thankful mind, Father, allow me to use the song lyrics of Henry Smith:
Give thanks with a grateful heart
Give thanks to the Holy One
Give thanks because He's given Jesus Christ, His Son

And now let the weak say, "I am strong"
Let the poor say, "I am rich
Because of what the Lord has done for us"

We give thanks to You oh Lord
     We give thanks
Because of what the Lord has done for us, we say Thank You; in Jesus Christ, Amen.

Bible verse:
You see, at just the right time, when we were still powerless, Christ died for the ungodly.  Very rarely will anyone die for a righteous person, though for a good person someone might possibly dare to die.  But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

My take for today:
Thank You, God, for loving me prior to salvation.

My prayer:

Thank You, Father, for this moment of reflection that gives rise to thankfulness.  Father, I thank You for the knowledge that You have been with me in trial and temptation even before acceptance of Jesus Christ. For that knowledge, I say Hallelujah and thank You; in Jesus’ name, Amen.

My prayer:

With my hands lifted,
And my mouth filled with praise,
With a heart of thanksgiving,
I will bless thee oh Lord.

I will bless thee oh Lord,
I will bless thee oh Lord,
With a heart of thanksgiving,
I will bless thee oh lord.
Thank you, Father, for giving me this song of thanksgiving; in Jesus’ name, Amen.

Bible verse:

If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him. But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed. For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord. A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.

My take for today:
The Lord helps my struggle with unbelief.

My prayer:
Father, I thank You for knowing me more than I know myself in my belief in You.  Lord though, I profess to trust You, my utmost cry today and forever is Lord take away my unbelief, infuse me with the grace to believe in You; in Jesus Christ, Amen.

Bible verse:
Psalm‬ ‭51:1-12‭(vv. 10-12)
  • Keep creating in me a clean heart. Fill me with pure thoughts and holy desires, ready to please You.
  • Do not banish me from Your presence, and don’t take Your Holy Spirit from me.
  • Restore to me the joy of Your salvation, And uphold me by Your generous Spirit.

My take for today:
There is now no condemnation of those in Christ Jesus..

My Prayer:
Father, thank You for equipping me with the knowledge and privilege to run to You at any time of the day, to speak to You about my sins or labels of condemnation coming from the kingdom of darkness.
Because of the efficacy of blood and resurrection, I can say like David, "Have mercy upon me, O God, according to thy lovingkindness: according unto the multitude of thy tender mercies blot out my transgressions. Wash me throughly from mine iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin. For I acknowledge my transgressions: and my sin is ever before me. Against thee, thee only, have I sinned, and done this evil in thy sight: that thou mightest be justified when thou speakest, and be clear when thou judgest. Behold, I was shapen in iniquity; and in sin did my mother conceive me. Behold, thou desirest truth in the inward parts: and in the hidden part thou shalt make me to know wisdom. Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean: wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow. Make me to hear joy and gladness; that the bones which thou hast broken may rejoice. Hide thy face from my sins, and blot out all mine iniquities. Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me. Cast me not away from thy presence; and take not thy holy spirit from me. Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation; and uphold me with thy free spirit."
In the name of Jesus Christ, I pray, Amen.
