Pastor Eric's Words of Redemption

Bible verse:

Matthew 26:37–42 (NIV) -- 37 He took Peter and the two sons of Zebedee along with him, and he began to be sorrowful and troubled. 38 Then he said to them, “My soul is overwhelmed with sorrow to the point of death. Stay here and keep watch with me.” 39 Going a little farther, he fell with his face to the ground and prayed, “My Father, if it is possible, may this cup be taken from me. Yet not as I will, but as you will.” 40 Then he returned to his disciples and found them sleeping. “Couldn’t you men keep watch with me for one hour?” he asked Peter. 41 “Watch and pray so that you will not fall into temptation. The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak.” 42 He went away a second time and prayed, “My Father, if it is not possible for this cup to be taken away unless I drink it, may your will be done.”

My take for today:
God's plan for my life.

My prayer:
Father, I thank you for the power to trust and to align my life with your plan. Replace my desired way with yours as declared by Jesus Christ: “My Father, if it is possible, may this cup be taken from me. Yet not as I will, but as you will.”  In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

Pastor Eric's Words of Redemption

Bible verse:
Romans 3:9–20 (NIV) -- 9 What shall we conclude then? Do we have any advantage? Not at all! For we have already made the charge that Jews and Gentiles alike are all under the power of sin. 10 As it is written: “There is no one righteous, not even one; 11 there is no one who understands; there is no one who seeks God. 12 All have turned away, they have together become worthless; there is no one who does good, not even one.” 13 “Their throats are open graves; their tongues practice deceit.” “The poison of vipers is on their lips.” 14 “Their mouths are full of cursing and bitterness.” 15 “Their feet are swift to shed blood; 16 ruin and misery mark their ways, 17 and the way of peace they do not know.” 18 “There is no fear of God before their eyes.” 19 Now we know that whatever the law says, it says to those who are under the law, so that every mouth may be silenced and the whole world held accountable to God. 20 Therefore no one will be declared righteous in God’s sight by the works of the law; rather, through the law we become conscious of our sin.

My take for today:
The righteousness of God.

My prayer:
God of Heavens, I thank you for your righteousness in me through the shed Blood of Jesus Christ's enhancement of grace to deal with my flesh, the world, and the devil. In the name of Jesus. Amen.

Bible verse:
Ephesians‬ ‭2:8-10‬ ‭NIV‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬
“For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— not by works, so that no one can boast. For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.”

My take for today:
Let grace sing God's praise.

My prayer:
Father, let your grace sing your praise in the lives of your children to those who are in darkness; so they will see and accept the glorious gospel of redemption in Christ.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Pastor Eric's Words of Redemption

Bible verse:
‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭4:14-16‬ ‭NIV‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬
“Therefore, since we have a great high priest who has ascended into heaven, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold firmly to the faith we profess. For we do not have a high priest who is unable to empathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are—yet he did not sin. Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.”

My take for today:
Live by Grace.

My prayer:
Father, I thank you for your Grace in the lives of those used in the expansion and extension of your Kingdom. Now, Lord, let me be an expression of Grace to all, in Christ and out of Christ.
In the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

Pastor Eric's Words of Redemption

Bible verse:
Ephesians‬ ‭2:1-5‬ ‭NIV‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬
“As for you, you were dead in your transgressions and sins, in which you used to live when you followed the ways of this world and of the ruler of the kingdom of the air, the spirit who is now at work in those who are disobedient. All of us also lived among them at one time, gratifying the cravings of our flesh and following its desires and thoughts. Like the rest, we were by nature deserving of wrath. But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions—it is by grace you have been saved.”

My take for today:
God’s Grace!

My prayer:
Thank you, Lord! For by Grace am I saved,  through faith,  it is not of my own less I should boast.  Father, fill me this morning with the fullness of your Grace within so my praise and worship will be an expression of Grace from now till the end of time.
In the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

Pastor Eric's Words of Redemption

Bible verse:
“Hasten, O God, to save me; come quickly, Lord, to help me. May those who want to take my life be put to shame and confusion; may all who desire my ruin be turned back in disgrace. May those who say to me, “Aha! Aha!” turn back because of their shame. But may all who seek you rejoice and be glad in you; may those who long for your saving help always say, “The Lord is great!”.

My take for today:
The LORD is Great!

My prayer:
Father, continually be magnified. I thank You that You take care of Your own, those who put their trust and confidence in Your unfailing love.
Oh God, in the name of Jesus Christ, come quickly to help me. Let those who desire my hurt be put to shame. Amen.

Bible verse:
“The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full. “I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep. The hired hand is not the shepherd and does not own the sheep. So when he sees the wolf coming, he abandons the sheep and runs away. Then the wolf attacks the flock and scatters it.”

My take for today:
The gift of life.

My prayer:
What a joy to know You, GOD, and that You want me to have a holistic lifestyle. LORD, let this protective and complete life become real in me in my day-to-day relationship with You and humanity through the knowledge of Jesus Christ. Amen.

Pastor Eric's Words of Redemption

Bible verse:
When Moses had proclaimed every command of the law to all the people, he took the blood of calves, together with water, scarlet wool and branches of hyssop, and sprinkled the scroll and all the people. He said, “This is the blood of the covenant, which God has commanded you to keep.” In the same way, he sprinkled with the blood both the tabernacle and everything used in its ceremonies. In fact, the law requires that nearly everything be cleansed with blood, and without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness.

My take for today:
Cleansed by  the Blood.

My prayer:
Father, I thank you for the Blood of your Son, Jesus Christ. Through the Blood, oh Lord, you have caused me to overcome trials and temptations from minute to minute, from hour to hour, and from month to month, from year to year, and from darkness to light in the name of Jesus Christ. Hallelujah and Amen!

Bible verse:
Matthew‬ ‭4:3-4,7-11‬ ‭KJV‬‬‬‬
“And when the tempter came to him, he said, If thou be the Son of God, command that these stones be made bread. But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God. Jesus said unto him, It is written again, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God. Again, the devil taketh him up into an exceeding high mountain, and sheweth him all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them; and saith unto him, All these things will I give thee, if thou wilt fall down and worship me. Then saith Jesus unto him, Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve. Then the devil leaveth him, and, behold, angels came and ministered unto him.”

My take for today:
Detect the voice of Satan; Hear the voice of God.

My prayer:
Lord, I  thank you for the unique way of speaking to your children that align with your Written Word. Lord, help me to use the scriptures as a yardstick to detect the lies of the devil as demonstrated by our Lord, Jesus Christ. Let me have ears to hear God. Amen.

In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in Heaven.”

My take for today:
You are light to glorify God.

My prayer:
Lord, I thank you for being the source of my light to combat the darkness of this world. Lord, let your light in me shine brighter each day so that the world will see You in my life from now and forever in Jesus’ name, Amen.

You answer us with awesome and righteous deeds, God our Savior, the hope of all the ends of the earth and of the farthest seas”.

My take for today:

Bible verse:
‭‭Genesis‬ ‭1:1-5‬ ‭NIV‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬
In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters. And God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light. God saw that the light was good, and he separated the light from the darkness. God called the light “day,” and the darkness he called “night.” And there was evening, and there was morning—the first day.

My take for today:
Be thankful.

My prayer:
Father, I thank you for the breaking of another beautiful day in the land of the living. Lord, lead me throughout this day so that I will experience the goodies and beauty of the day with great success, in Jesus’ name, Amen.

“During that long period, the king of Egypt died. The Israelites groaned in their slavery and cried out, and their cry for help because of their slavery went up to God. Bible verse:
“The word of the Lord came to me, saying, “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations.” “Alas, Sovereign Lord,” I said, “I do not know how to speak; I am too young.” But the Lord said to me, “Do not say, ‘I am too young.’ You must go to everyone I send you to and say whatever I command you. Do not be afraid of them, for I am with you and will rescue you,” declares the Lord. Then the Lord reached out his hand and touched my mouth and said to me, “I have put my words in your mouth. See, today I appoint you over nations and kingdoms to uproot and tear down, to destroy and overthrow, to build and to plant.”

My take for today:

Bible verse:
Psalms‬ ‭37:1-8‬ ‭NIV‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬
“Do not fret because of those who are evil or be envious of those who do wrong; for like the grass they will soon wither, like green plants they will soon die away. Trust in the Lord and do good; dwell in the land and enjoy safe pasture. Take delight in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to the Lord; trust in him and he will do this: He will make your righteous reward shine like the dawn, your vindication like the noonday sun. Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for him; do not fret when people succeed in their ways, when they carry out their wicked schemes. Refrain from anger and turn from wrath; do not fret—it leads only to evil.”

My take for today:
Grace to wait on the Lord.

My prayer:
Father speak to my troubling heart with words of comfort so that my heart will be still as I wait on you for vindication over my enemies. Thank you, Lord, for the grace to wait and not fret. In the name of Jesus Christ, I pray. Amen!

Bible verse:
Matthew‬ ‭22:34-40‬ ‭NIV‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬
“Hearing that Jesus had silenced the Sadducees, the Pharisees got together. One of them, an expert in the law, tested him with this question: “Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?” Jesus replied: “ ‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.”.

My take for today:
Lord, help me to love you the more.

My prayer:
Father, thank you for the unconditional love that you demonstrated on Calvary to save humanity. Lord, let me love you with all my heart, soul, and mind, along with loving brothers and sisters as myself. In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
